Senior Freight Forwarder vacancy for a dynamic, privately owned shipping group. This role is based in their Exeter office on a full-time, permanent basis. Experience is key and prior experience and knowledge of project cargo, global freight and container shipping is required.
What will you be doing as a Senior Freight Forwarder?
- Engaging with key clients from initial enquiry to the closing of their file.
- Managing the invoicing going out.
- Overseeing P&L.
- Providing customers with accurate and timely information through sending quotations, pricing and shipping details, as well as supply chain related documentation.
Skills/Qualifications of a Senior Freight Forwarder:
- You should be experienced in project cargo, out of gauge equipment, abnormal load shipping and the UK customs system.
- Advanced knowledge of global freight, and solid experience of the container shipping market are essential.
- You should be commercially astute and able to take control of shipments from start to finish.
- You will have excellent client care skills, as well as impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
