Our client, who help people with wireless connectivity worldwide are looking to recruit an Senior Electronics Design and Support Engineer to join in their passion to provide affordable connectivity. The client is looking for engineers with a strong grasp of fundamental principles to help accelerate the development of their leading-edge products with their enthusiasm and ability.

Senior Electronics Design & Support Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Understand product requirements, develop architectures and additional features
  • Specify circuitry at a high level for detail design by yourself and others
  • Demonstrate expertise in the detailed design of digital circuitry, analogue circuitry, power supplies and systems
  • Develop FPGA code to meet system requirements
  • Define hardware design verification requirements for wireless modem cards
  • Develop designer test FPGA/ software code and perform circuit level design verification
  • Perform system level testing
  • Support the factory in product introduction and maintenance

Senior Electronics Design & Support Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Essential)
  • Able to work at levels from architecture through detailed design to system test. (Essential)
  • An understanding of wireless-based communication systems (Essential)
  • Able to decompose an architecture into elements suitable for detailed design and designer verification (Essential)
  • Excellent digital design skills in discrete logic, microprocessors, FPGAs (Essential)
  • Able to design analogue circuits, simple filters, transistor, and op-amp circuits (Essential)
  • Good VHDL skills (using Xilinx/ Intel) (Essential)
  • Able to perform schematic capture and guide the layout of pcb circuitry (Essential)
  • Able to perform circuit testing using oscilloscopes, logic analysers etc. (Essential)
  • Analytical skills, ability to drill down into problems to find the root cause (Essential)
  • Enthusiasm to learn new ideas and skills (Essential)
