Our client, a leading manufacturer in their field, requires a Sales Administrator to join their friendly team based in Axminster. The main purpose of the role is to take charge of the import/export of all products, liaise/coordinate with the Production team, couriers and customers, maintain the customer database with the latest sales information, and assist with general office and reception duties.

This is a full-time, permanent role working up to 40 hours per week. Hours can be flexible, but the successful candidate should be in the office between 10 am – 3 pm Monday to Friday for courier reasons. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Take charge of import/ export of all products including liaising and coordinating with the Production team, couriers, and customers and the provision of export paperwork as required
  • Maintain the customer database with the latest sales information
  • Assist the Marketing and Sales Manager and back-office support for the small Marketing and Sales team
  • Liaise with sister companies in Germany and USA, as well as distributors to ensure smooth relations and business
  • Work within the company’s Quality Management system including internal audits
  • Provide cover and work with the Production Assistant who primarily arranges servicing, loans, and leases of equipment
  • General office and reception duties

Requirements: -

  • A high level of IT proficiency in the standard office packages, but also be willing to learn new and more specialist packages that are used for customer relations and invoicing/ stock-keeping
  • A methodical approach and a focus on accuracy
  • A sharp eye for detail
  • Ability to work with your own initiative and overcome obstacles
  • A warm, friendly, and “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Training will be provided, but previous relevant experience (particularly of Import/ Export) would be an advantage
