Cathedral Appointments has an exceptional opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor to join the Investment & Development team of a reputable law firm based in Exeter. This position would suit a Solicitor between 2-5 years’ PQE who has gained specific experience working with a Real Estate/Commercial Property team. Work will include acting for property investors, listed funds, REITS, developers, occupiers and local authorities on investment and development acquisitions and disposals, property financing transactions and asset and portfolio management work.
Responsibilities:
- You will be involved in in all property aspects of development schemes
- You will undertake a mix of property work for institutional and private investors and developers, government bodies and local authorities’ landlords including acquisitions and disposals of both investment and development sites for commercial and mixed use schemes, asset management, and joint venture projects
- You will be involved in project management and working with other specialist teams on more complex matters
- You will be responsible for building and maintaining effective client relationships
- You will actively participate in business development and marketing initiatives
Requirements:
- You will be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2-5 years’ PQE gained specifically within Real Estate/Commercial Property or even Residential Property
- You will have an excellent academic record
- You will have a proven ability to take on responsibility, manage and progress matters independently
- You will have excellent technical skills and an innovative approach to their application
- You will have a strong client focus
- You will be driven and enthusiastic with good commercial awareness
- You will have the ability to train and manager junior lawyers
- You will have a strong aptitude for business development
- You will have client management experience
