Our client based in Exeter specialise in quality commercial van accessories and equipment and have a long standing Presence in the current market. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, keen to learn Quality engineer to join the growing team and take on a new role to help the business flourish.
What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?

Update as necessary all documents associated with the Quality & Environmental System & Manuals.

Ensure that processes needed for the Quality & Environmental System are established, implemented, and maintained.

Undertake internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) & the Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

Maintain and report on the performance of the Quality & Environmental System and any need for improvement.

Keep Management fully appraised of significant occurrences and trends that impact the quality of product or manufacturing operations.

Development of inspection and work instructions.

Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.

Day to day management of your workload, prioritising tasks.

Inspect product materials for defects.

Working with your colleagues developing your knowledge base and mentoring others in your tasks.

Developing solutions to non-standard issues. Identify and respond appropriately to levels of risk involved for the company.
Skills/Qualifications of a Quality Engineer

Professional certification, experience as a Quality engineer, or quality auditor.

Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 EMS.

Analytical, problem solving individual who is easily adaptable
-
Fantastic computer competence, including database management
-
Proficient is Microsoft Office
-
Can work well as part of a team
