Introduction/Job Overview:
QA Tester – We are currently seeking an experienced QA Tester to join a leading and rapidly growing ecommerce retailer based in Newton Abbot. You will be joining a driven and experienced team with the ability to work either office based or remotely.
The main purpose of the role is to improve the quality of the software through effective testing and team work with other colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that test scenarios and scripts are prepared in a structured way, prioritised to reflect business or technical requirements and are approved by test manager.
- Take ownership of raising and re-testing of defects using the Xray test tool.
- To attend workshops/meetings comprising business and or technical representatives to cover test dependent activities, matters.
- To create test scripts, monitor test execution and ensure results and evidence are recorded to give auditable trail of test effort.
- To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts, test plans and to maintain regression test packs.
- To take responsibility for: time management; Test Creation and preparation activities; reporting and monitoring progress.
- To support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience withing a similar test based role
- ISTQB qualification or similar
- Experience of manual testing
- Able to prioritise a busy workload
- Analytical Thinking – Good at acquiring an understanding of a problem or situation, and developing an approach to interacting with the situation.
