Our client, a well-established law firm with multiple offices across the South West, requires a Real Estate Professional Support Lawyer to join their professional and collegiate team. As part of the role, the successful candidate will be providing training and knowledge management support to the firm’s Real Estate department. You will also be a part of the Firm’s wider Knowledge Management team in driving improvements in the standardisation of procedures and consistent working practices across the firm.

This role is based on a 3-day working week and can be based in Exeter, Bristol, Taunton, or Plymouth with a blend of home and office working.

Professional Support Lawyer responsibilities include: -

  • Analysing new laws and developments and communicating to fee earners effectively
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities
  • Working with the Learning and Development team to provide relevant technical training for fee earners and assisting with seminars and bespoke training for clients
  • Supporting fee earners with queries arising from their transactions and undertaking legal research where appropriate
  • Working with the Risk and Compliance team to ensure understanding and effective
  • Coordinating directory submissions.

Professional Support Lawyer requirements include: -

  • Qualified solicitor/CILEX with transactional Real Estate experience from a reputable Real Estate team (typically over 3-4 years PQE)
  • Good project management skills with the ability to cope with pressures associated with handling multiple tasks and associated deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised, with lateral thinking skills and an eye for detail
  • Commercial awareness and an ability to understand and relate to clients’ needs, and a commitment to delivering excellent client care.
  • A team player, with the temperament to form effective working relationships with partners, employees, and clients
  • Experience in Residential Development is preferred but not essential.
