Summary:

Our client is looking to recruit a Planning Solicitor at Associate level on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in a sublime location in the Southwest, the chosen candidate will have duties encompassing a large variety of planning matters. These will include dealing with planning obligations, highway and infrastructure matters and lawful development certificates. The successful candidate should have 1-5 years PQE and should be proactive and resilient in nature.

Responsibilities include:

  • Dealing with planning obligation matters.
  • Taking on matters centered around highway and infrastructure.
  • Dealing with community infrastructure levies.
  • Covering work on lawful development certificates.
  • Supporting other teams within the organisation with undertaking tasks such as property acquisitions and disposals.
  • Engaging with contentious planning matters including enforcement, judicial reviews, compulsory purchase, statutory challenges and appeals.

Requirements:

  • A confident Planning Solicitor with 1-5 years PQE.
  • An individual who aims high and is ambitious to keep achieving.
  • Someone who is adaptable and able to deal with a wide variety of client and workload types.
  • Somebody who is an excellent team player and can co-operate well.
  • An individual with their eyes set upon business development and upon their own personal growth.
  • Someone who is an excellent communicator and who is able to build and maintain long lasting relationships with clients.
  • Somebody who is resilient and who is not deterred by setbacks should they arise.
  • An individual who is thorough in their approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
  • A candidate with impeccable commercial judgement.

Package:

This role offers a competitive salary which is depending on experience. There is also a generous benefit package on offer including access to Private Medical Insurance, access to a Pension Scheme with 5% Employer Contribution, and 25 days + your birthday leave rising with length of service.
