Our client, a successful charity that prides itself on its accessibility and core values, are seeking to recruit a part-time Payroll Assistant in their Devon division which currently supports around 900 clients with paying their carers – whether agencies or personal assistants. As a part-time Payroll Assistant, you will be competent and proficient in all aspects of payroll. Furthermore, you must be detail-oriented, professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
As Payroll Assistant, you will be:
- Setting up new payrolls which will include registering them with HMRC and NEST.
- Processing 4 weekly and monthly payrolls and submitting RTI reports to HMRC within strict timescales.
- Production of reports for BACS payments and issuing payslips.
- Processing new starters and leavers.
As Payroll Assistant, you will need:
- 2 or more years’ experience in payroll environment
- Understanding IRIS/QuickBooks software’s would be ideal but training will be provided
- Preferably AAT/ATT or CIPP qualified but not essential
- Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
Package for Payroll Assistant:
- 30 hours p.w (working 4 days p/w). Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be flexible with their working days to accommodate payroll deadlines.
- Salary: £21,000-£24,500 FTE depending on qualifications and experience
- The successful candidate will be entitled to ‘hybrid-working’ system, working 2 days in the office and 2 from home once the probationary period of 3 months has been successfully completed.
- Annual training allowance of £1,000 towards AAT/ATT or CIPP qualification may be offered
- 20 days of annual leave plus bank holiday pro-rated.
