An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Receptionist to join a successful and dynamic accountancy firm on a permanent, part-time basis. Working from the Axminister office, your main role will be to answer the telephone in a polite and helpful manner, open the office ready for staff and client arrival, manage meeting room diaries and assist with general administrative duties. The role will be varied and will suit a highly organised individual who enjoys both people contact and administration work. Occasional support will be required in the Honiton office. The role is 2 – 3 days a week.
 
Responsibilities include: -
  • Open the office ready for staff and client arrival, ensuring the reception area and meeting rooms are kept clean and tidy
  • Provide ad hoc accounts administration and secretarial support reporting to the Partner and Director of the office
  • Manage meeting room diaries, meet and greet clients and arrange refreshments for clients and meetings
  • Answer the telephone, directing calls or taking and passing on messages accurately and efficiently
  • Provide a professional and good impression of the firm whether that be via face to face, over the phone or through written communication
  • Audio and copy typing, photocopying/binding document and scanning and handling incoming and/or outgoing correspondence into the Document Management System
  • Prepare outgoing post as well as receiving, opening and distributing post and deliveries
  • Communicate with external visitors and contractors, to ensure that visitors and contractors are signed in and out of the building to comply with fire safety procedures

  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Good typing skills, accuracy and speed
Package: This role comes with a competitive salary, death in service 3 x annual salary, 24-hour external Employee Assistance Programme helpline, buy and sell holiday, introducing clients and staff commission schemes and pension scheme, 3% rising to 4% (but matched up to 6%) after 4 years’ service.
