Summary:

Our client, a forward-thinking, dynamic law firm, is looking to recruit a Real Estate Paralegal whose work will be centered around investment and management of assets. Based within the beautiful City of Exeter, the role’s duties will include undertaking routine property and conveyancing transactions. The ideal candidate will have either Property Paralegal or general Paralegal experience and excellent drive and enthusiasm.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating deeds of grants of rights, easements and wayleaves, substation leases and transfers.
  • Dealing with adoption agreements for roads, sewers and open spaces.
  • Undertaking everyday property and conveyancing transactions, small disposals and acquisitions; land swaps.
  • Providing assistance with completions, Land Registry applications and requisitions, SDLT returns.
  • Helping Real Estate security and charging transactions.
  • Aiding solicitors and partners on property and development transactions for housing associations and developers.
  • Providing impeccable and efficient client service.
  • Helping to establish and maintain long lasting client relationships.
  • Making sure that files are managed in compliance with the organisation’s procedures.
  • Assisting with portfolio acquisition and disposal duties.
  • Aiding with plot sales and conveyancing duties.

 

Person Specification:

  • Someone with previous experience as a Paralegal or within a Property Paralegal role (desirable).
  • An individual with prior experience within real estate and ideally within development matters (advantageous).
  • A candidate who has proven ability in taking responsibility and managing files.
  • Somebody who is driven and ambitious with a can-do attitude.
  • An individual who has a strong client focus and is committed to delivering quality service.
  • A candidate who can work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Someone with an excellent academic history and record.
  • An individual who is confident with sound communication skills.
