Our client, a successful accountancy firm with multiple offices across the South West, requires an experienced Office Administrator to join their Exeter team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied and dynamic role, and main duties include general administration, receptionist cover when required and assisting with Property Management issues such as sourcing/managing contractors. This role will suit someone with previous administration experience, strong organisational skills, and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.

The role is Monday - Friday, working 36.25 hours per week.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Responsibility for all Property Management issues, including sourcing and managing contractors to ensure property issues are resolved
  • Office Fire safety support including weekly testing of fire alarms/sensors, checking fire exits, and 6 monthly fire drills
  • Other office Health and Safety support including (but not limited to) co-ordinating annual gas safety/boiler servicing and health and safety-related contractors
  • Supporting the office with admin tasks, copy typing, and ordering of materials including stationery
  • Day-to-day coordination and supervision of the reception team
  • Receptionist cover when required
  • Provide qualified First aid cover as part of the company’s First Aider team

Requirements: -

  • Outgoing, socially confident, and approachable
  • A positive attitude, adaptable and conscientious
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as flexibly
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Discreet, professional, and team-orientated in approach
  • Sound working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Efficient and accurate typing skills
  • Experience of audio typing an advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Office management or supervisory experience
  • First Aid qualified (or willing to become qualified)
