Our client, a well-respected and dynamic Financial Advisory firm, is on the lookout for a Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join their team in Ottery St Mary on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for delivering the firm’s client service proposition to the highest standards, whilst also adhering to FCA rules and procedures. You should possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a successful track record and you should have the appropriate qualifications listed below.

What will you be doing as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser?

• Communicating with clients to determine their expenses, income, and insurance coverage as well as other details.
• Responding to queries regarding the mortgage process and the recommendations that you provide.
• Building and maintaining your client base from the ground up.

Skills/Qualifications of a Mortgage and Protection Adviser?

• You will be qualified to CII CF (Mortgage Advice), CII R01 (Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics) and CII R05 (Financial Protection) or CeMAP equivalent.
• You should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience along with a successful track record.
• You should possess a thorough understanding of the financial planning process, excellent technical knowledge in personal finance and investment management issues, and a strong awareness of regulatory frameworks.
• A familiarity with the challenges and/or opportunities that business owners encounter is essential. 
• You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to build trust with clients.
• An aptitude for analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to create recommendations is essential.
