An energy company operating across two divisions, providing products and services to the upstream oil, gas and geothermal industry. Due to their continued growth and drive to stay ahead of the market with new product development offerings, we are looking to recruit into our Electronics team. The position of a Mechanical Design Engineer entails working in the Mechanical Engineering design and development areas of the business, engineering projects and tools from design concept through to manufacture and testing/assembly status.
As Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be:
- Product design using CAD techniques.
- Engineering calculations.
- Project and tool specification and Purchasing specification.
- Maintenance of technical files. (Function, vibration, temperature tests, also any other acceptance tests that are required.)
As Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 2:1 or equivalent would be an advantage.
- A-level mathematics minimum grade ‘C’ or equivalent.
- 3D/Solid modelling CAD techniques.
- Ability to develop a design from the start with consideration for manufacture and operation.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
