Summary:

Our client is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join the team of a forward thinking, well-established local law firm. Based in a beautiful Plymouth location, you will carry out tasks which provide both secretarial and administrative support to the relevant fee earners. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience gained within private practice. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking a high quantity of typing work, whether that be audio or copy typing.
  • Providing general administrative support to the fee earners.
  • Managing the fee earner’s diaries and schedules.
  • Communicating with the firm’s clients over the telephone.
  • Making appointments and arranging meetings.
  • Maintaining client files to an impeccable standard.
  • Undertaking daily filing tasks.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience working as a Legal Secretary within any sector of practice.
  • Experience of audio/copy typing, preferably with minimum speeds of 60wpm.
  • Impeccable communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A highly self-motivated and driven individual who can keep themselves incredibly organised.
  • Sound IT skills, particularly with regards to the use of MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
