IT Systems Developer
We have taken on an exciting opportunity for a IT Systems Developer to join the IT team in a renowned Southwestern company, based out of Exeter.
IT Systems Developer Responsibilities
- Provide development, integration and programming expertise on behalf of the IT function
- Drive the in-house development objectives associated with the implementation of key strategic projects.
- Be responsible for providing new, and maintaining existing, management information reporting systems namely the Group’s MS-SQL and MS-Access databases, MS-Excel, ODBC connections and the accurate and timely output of management reporting requirements.
- A strong understanding of all the Group’s data structures and operational systems usage is essential with emphasis on product group hierarchy and customer and supplier markets
- Provide cover as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data and any operational assistance within the IT team on an ad-hoc basis.
IT Systems Developer Requirements
- Be educated to Degree level in Computer Science or a relevant numerical / scientific discipline.
- Have a strong commercial background with evidence of delivering benefits in a multi-functional organisation.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of ERP, CRM, web-based and desktop productivity systems. Prior knowledge of ERP and CRM systems such as Sage 1000 and Infor (SalesLogix) CRM (desirable)
- Have proven experience of successfully developing and implementing B2C / B2B / WMS solutions (desirable)
- Have proven experience of developing in the following languages or environments; .NET, Visual Studio, MS-SQL 2008 upwards, VBA, VBS, C#, C++, RDBMS, JavaScript, jQuery, jSon. Demonstrable knowledge of ASP.Net, XML, Web API, Web forms, PHP, CSS and HTML (desirable)
- Have experience in mobile app development.
