Are you looking for a new position within a growing Educational Trust, within Ivybridge, where you can utilise your HR skills? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! As a HR Data & Systems Officer you will take a central role in the delivery of a professional and high-quality HR-related systems and people data service for the Trust.  Providing specialist advice and user support, contributing to the smooth running of the payroll, managing systems development and producing people data and analytics. Acting as the primary contact for users of the Trust HR/payroll system(iTrent), the post holder will manage enquiries and provide a conduit between Trust service users and the payroll provider (Midland HR) managed services function. Individuals in this role will be committed to working to Trust values and are able resolve day-to-day problems independently and demonstrate and develop professional practice excellence to meet the changing demands of the role and as part of a team

HR Data & Systems Officer responsibilities include: -

  • To develop personal practice to the level of technical expert, acting as the key contact and system administrator for HR systems (iTrent, but also including the use of, and interface with, SIMs) providing support and coaching to users on a broad range of HR system-related issues and ensuring timely progression of enquiries.
  • Liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders and MHR Managed Services to oversee the smooth running of monthly payroll and resolve system related issues
  • Support system and data-related projects comprising development; improvements; changes; data maintenance and cleansing (including upgrades/updates) from instigation, through implementation, communication, user training and ongoing support
  • Support the management and administration of people-related surveys, including the Staff Survey.
  • Develop and deliver a range of people data and analytics using business objects reports and other systems as required.

HR Data & Systems Officer requirements include: -

  • Level of education equivalent to five passes at GCSE (levels 9 to4)/NVQ 2 or demonstrable relevant experience showing clear evidence of excellent numeracy and literacy (Essential)
  • Good working knowledge of HR systems, preferably iTrent or other similar payroll and management reporting systems
  • Demonstrable good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages in particular Word & Excel
  • Enthusiasm teamed with taking ownership of managing your workload.
  • Being comfortable accepting instructions and guidance from different angles
  • Excellent proven organisational skills and can prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
  • The ability to multi-task and be effective under pressure
