Quality & Compliance Manager (DPO), Exeter

*  £45-50k  * Performance Based Bonus * Hybrid Working

Quality & Compliance Manager - The main purpose of the role is to oversee internal audits, evaluate and assess compliance risk, work in collaboration with legal advisors, external auditors and wider management, and create/deliver governance strategies. The successful Quality & Compliance Manager will have experience of leading governance and proven compliance expertise. This role involves a mix of remote and office working.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Identify and manage a governance strategy
  • Manage the governance team
  • Manage internal and external audits to ensure all activities are in line with current legislative, regulatory, and other external requirements including Data Protection legislation, Quality and Information Security Standards (ISO 9001 and ISO 27001)
  • Manage client contract negotiations and commercial agreements, working collaboratively with legal advisors to ensure agreements entered are legally sound and protect the group’s best interests
  • Champion risk reduction, taking responsibility for the risk identification process, including ensuring the risk registers are maintained and the creation and maintenance of data protection impact assessments
  • Take overall responsibility for the protection of data and act as the Data Protection Office (DPO) for all group companies

About You

  • Experience of leading governance for a like-minded organisation and proven compliance experience
  • Experience in the following areas is essential: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Data Protection Legislation, strategic planning
