Summary:
Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in a beautiful Southwestern location, the successful candidate will be undertaking duties such as creating monthly and annual financial forecast reports and overseeing cash flow management. The ideal candidate will be an ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant who is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Although this role is primarily office based in the City of Exeter, it is flexible and offers the potential to work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing a variety of accounting operations including Sales invoicing, Accounts receivable, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Creating and publishing monthly financial statements.
- Publishing monthly and annual reports in order to identify results, trends and financial forecasts.
- Making sure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported.
- Ensuring that all reporting honours statutory law and financial regulations.
- Writing down business processes and accounting policies in order to strengthen internal controls.
- Helping to develop accounting systems and operations.
- Supervising cash flow and debt collection.
- Managing staff within the financial department.
- Overseeing the audit process and making contact with external personnel when required.
- Assisting with company financial strategy and internal decision-making processes.
- Aiding the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members.
Person Specification:
- An ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant.
- A candidate who is ‘qualified by experience’ can also be considered for this role.
- Somebody with a strong sense of initiative who can work well as a cooperative team player.
- A highly organised, motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
