Summary:
Our client, a forward-thinking, acclaimed engineering and manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a Finance Manager on either a full-time or part-time basis. Based in the Southwestern location of Newton Abbot, this role’s duties are centered around the overall management of accounting operations and the overseeing of financial forecasts. You will be either fully or partly ACCA/ACA qualified, or alternatively you may be qualified by experience.
Responsibilities:
- General management of accounting operations including but not limited to Sales invoicing, Accounts Receivable and Payable, General Ledger and Counsel, Cost and Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinating the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Publishing monthly and annual reports to identify trends, as well as monthly financial statements.
- Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, filed and reported, and that all reporting honours the appropriate statutory law and financial regulations.
- Documenting business processes and accounting policies in order to strengthen internal controls.
- Suggesting improvements for accounting systems and operations, as well as contributing to the development of the company’s financial strategies.
- Managing cash flow and debt/debt collection.
- Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel when required.
- Supervising and managing staff within the financial department.
- Providing assistance to the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members.
Requirements:
- Somebody who is either fully or partly ACCA/ACA qualified.
- Someone who is qualified by experience.
- A highly numerate individual with strong attention to detail.
- A strong sense of initiative and an ability to work well in a team environment.
- A positive approach to work and a drive to keep improving.
