Summary:

Our client is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant. Your remit will be centered around Fixed Assets & Purchasing on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be undertaking a role within a dynamic and forward-thinking company, with your duties based around providing support to the Procurement Manager throughout the purchasing process. The ideal candidate would have some previous experience of working in an accounting or finance team, with Accounts Payable experience being a distinct advantage. Ideally, you would also be working towards your AAT qualification or will be part or fully AAT qualified.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising Purchase Quotes/Orders and tracking their progress.
  • Making sure that order confirmations honour the quantities and prices requested.
  • Liaising with Regional Offices to make sure that stock records are accurate.
  • Continuously updating vendor and supplier records.
  • Creating, producing and analysing reports.

You will also be required to record and maintain records of fixed assets within the business, including:

  • Accurate classification, record-keeping and recording of assets acquired by the business using online software.
  • Providing support to the Chief Financial Officer with reporting and analyses of asset metrices and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Supporting the head-office based finance team throughout their day-to-day duties.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, you’ll be working towards your AAT qualification or be part or fully AAT qualified.  

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in an accounting or finance team and/or Accounts Payable experience (advantageous).
  • Experience of using Accounting Systems such as ERP platforms (advantageous).
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – particularly programmes such as Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Logical, with a process-oriented mindset.

Package:

This role offers a Competitive salary of £20k-£25k depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package on offer including 25 Days Holiday plus bank holidays, 5 days Company Sick Pay, and access to Cycle to Work, Tech and Referral Schemes.
