Our client, a dynamic UK accountancy firm, providing a comprehensive range of services across a wide range of sectors within Exeter are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a Part Time basis. The Role of the Finance Assistant to support the Finance Director and Finance Manager in managing, processing, and troubleshooting accounts, payments, and transactions. 

Finance Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices through an online invoice management system and setting up payments to suppliers and other parties. 
  • Carrying out activities to support the preparation of monthly management accounts 
  • Carrying out and recording fortnightly purchase invoice and staff expense payment runs 
  • Responding to queries from clients, suppliers and colleagues 

Finance Assistant Requirements:

  • AAT qualification or part qualified (or equivalent) 
  • Good IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure 
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills 
  • An understanding of data privacy and requirements 
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail
