An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Digital Marketing Manager to join a successful company based in Exeter. The main purpose of the role is to; contribute to the business’ goals by developing effective marketing activity to generate leads; plan and manage PPC, display marketing, SEO and analytics; understand UX and customer journeys & how they influence behaviour, and write, edit and proof-read material for online communications. The successful candidate will have a relevant marketing qualification or degree (or equivalent experience), excellent communication skills, and a passion for digital!

This is a full-time, permanent role.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage PPC, display marketing, SEO, paid and organic search, goal setting and analytics
  • Understand UX and customer journeys and how they influence behaviour and driving conversion
  • Effectively manage email marketing, offering creative input and strategy. Track key metrics to evaluate effectiveness
  • Successfully manage and implement updates on a WordPress site in line with business changes, working with the wider marketing team and agencies
  • Update website pages and assist with content including production of relevant pages, guides, blogs and case studies
  • Propose and create annual digital calendar aligned to wider marketing strategy, outlining activities for social, PR, digital media and email marketing which drives the profile, generates leads and supports delivery of KPI’s
  • Write, edit and proof-read material for online communications to an excellent standard, ensuring consistency and compliance with key communication messages, quality standards, branding and design
  • Monitor web stats including visitors, conversion and produce monthly web report
  • Understand marketing performance and analytics to implement changes
  • Stay close to brand guidelines, ensuring marketing collateral is consistent

Requirements:

  • A passion for digital and a can-do attitude
  • Understands how digital fits into the wider marketing picture and how this fits in with the wider business goals
  • Be keen to learn new skills
  • Adopts a test, learn, refine approach
  • Is an analytical thinker and enjoys problem-solving
  • Digital marketing experience – including website, SEO, Google Analytics, CMS, email platforms and social media platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good attention to detail and proof-reading skills
  • Able to handle short deadlines and competing priorities in a calm and organised manner
  • Experienced in content marketing with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write appropriately for the various audiences
  • Able to learn quickly, take initiative and work in a team or independently
  • Relevant marketing qualification or degree (or equivalent experience)
