Are you a Desktop specialist and SCCM/MECM Administrator wanting to develop your technical skills further? We are looking for someone to join our clients IT Services team in a desktop management role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and collaborative IT team in a role that offers great development opportunities into owning the management of endpoints across all platforms. They have a mixed environment of approx. 1800 fixed desktops, 900 laptops and around 100 tablets.

Candidates should have experience in a similar role and of administration of a SCCM/SCEM infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure endpoint management systems are fully operational
  • The design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of a multi- site endpoint device portfolio, focussed on the monitoring and support of the devices, their hardware operating systems and software.
  • Work with the service manager and senior technical team to develop and implement a rolling five year service delivery plan.
  • The design and implementation of systems and infrastructure to meet current cyber security requirements.
  • Generate solutions to resolve assigned high level problems to best possible service levels while identifying the root causes of problems and working to make a permanent fix.
  • Carry out change management process ensuring that documentation is maintained and communication is relayed to all stakeholders.
  • Minimise the impact, cost and time to fix of recurrent or inevitable problems.
  • Development and training of 1st/2nd line team

Requirements:

  • HND or equalivalent in an IT related subject
  • Administration of an SCCM/SCEM infrastructure
  • Expertise in selecting, configuring, deploying and lifecycle managing endpoint devices to meet the needs of all users
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to work calm under pressure
  • Understanding of desktop network requirements
  • Microsoft infrastructure knowledge (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group policy etc)
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration
  • Positive and flexible approach to work with excellent customer service experience.
