Are you a confident and organised individual who is looking to continue to develop your career within an office environment? Our client, a successful and growing business based in Exeter, is looking to recruit a bright individual to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a varied role in which you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing orders, account management, stock management, and arranging logistics. Very much a team role, you will enjoy a fast-paced and busy environment in a friendly and fun team setting.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Work closely with the commercial Account Manager to establish key customer requirements and manage related purchase and sale contracts
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure the sale details are entered correctly into the system and accurately reflect customer requirements
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service, and always look for improvement 
  • Receive and process customer orders on time and accurately 
  • Liaise with Sales, Purchasing and Stock Control to assess stock levels of standard items and allocate stock
  • Assist with physical stock audits, especially at end of financial year
  • Use the operating system to input and maintain all records
  • Work as a proactive member of the Customer Service team, ensuring cover in all areas when required
  • Switchboard cover - take and transfer incoming calls

Requirements: -

  • Strong background in customer service and administration
  • Knowledge and experience of sales processing
  • Very good verbal and written communications skills
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and motivation to deliver excellent customer service
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Well organised and able to multi-task
  • Keen to learn, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Good Microsoft Office software knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Willingness to identify and communicate process improvements
  • Experience using SAP and Lotus Notes desirable, though not essential
