Our client is a leader in their field, supplying a wide range of quality products to customers nationally and internationally, and is looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Advisor to join their busy team. Duties for this role include responding to customer queries via telephone and email, liaising with the Warehouse team with reference to distribution, supporting Sales Managers by providing product ordering information and inputting of orders, as well as assisting customers with plans and quantity calculations.

This is a full-time, permanent role working from the Exeter office.

Responsibilities include: -

  • Receive telephone calls from customers and ensure all calls are dealt with in a friendly and professional manner
  • Support/liaise with the Sales Managers by answering queries relating to customer details, inputting of orders, displays and providing product ordering information
  • Assist customers with plans and quantity calculations
  • Respond to and solve customer problems, queries, and complaints
  • Liaise with warehouse/carriers with reference to distribution
  • Input telephone and email orders onto the Microsoft Business Central system, ensuring that customer details and orders are accurately entered, and acknowledgments of orders are sent to customers
  • Log customer issues onto the system and detail all relevant communication to customers

Requirements: -

  • Previous experience working in an office-based role
  • Proven customer service/sales order processing experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident, pleasant telephone manner
  • A team player
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • A strong focus on customer service and be willing to go that extra mile
  • IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Basic mathematical ability essential
