Summary:

Our client is looking to recruit a competent and skilful Business Development Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in the beautiful County of Somerset, you will be responsible for meeting with and selling to prospective clients as well as engaging with administrative tasks and keeping accurate records. The successful candidate will be personable with a strong work ethic and will be able to effectively generate and maintain long-lasting client relationships.

The successful candidate will become a brand ambassador and key account manager and will find that the maintenance of these relationships is a key element of the role.

This role requires a full, clean UK driving licence and an ability to travel if required across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • To identify sales leads as well as meeting and selling to prospective clients.
  • To look out for opportunities to upsell to existing clients.
  • To undertake administrative tasks and make sure that records are kept up to date.
  • To become a brand ambassador and ensure that a positive company image is always communicated.
  • To achieve and exceed the sales targets and Key Performance Indicators set by the company.
  • To engage collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with long sales cycles (essential)
  • Qualified to degree level (desirable).
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the consultative sales sector.
  • Must be able to commute to the role’s location.
  • An ability to foster and develop client relationships both face to face and virtually, as well as to source and qualify potential new leads over the phone.
  • Impeccable written and oral English language skills.

Package:

A competitive salary is offered to the successful candidate. There is also a generous benefit package including 25 days p.a holiday plus bank holidays, life insurance four times your annual salary, a generous Pension scheme and a target-based commission scheme.
