Summary:

Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Manager to reside in their Holsworthy office on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for a rural and agricultural focused portfolio, and for providing all round accounting services and advice. You should either be a part qualified or fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with some prior experience working within the agricultural accounting sector.

There may be the need for some travel outside of Holsworthy as and when required.

What will you be doing as an Accounts Manager?

  • Managing a rural and agricultural focused portfolio and providing services and advice.
  • Engaging with every day client matters and collaborating with a Partner on occasional projects.
  • Overseeing your portfolio to ensure that all deadlines are efficiently met.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, year end accounts and the resulting income tax or corporation tax returns.
  • Marketing the firm’s added value services and helping to attract new clients.

Skills/Qualifications of an Accounts Manager:

  • You should either be a part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant (or equivalent).
  • You should ideally possess some recent practice experience working in the agricultural accounting sector and/or small business accounting sectors.
  • A working knowledge of both personal and corporate tax is essential.
  • You will have a genuine interest in the rural sector.
  • You should have strong business acumen and the ability to progress within the firm.
