Summary:
Cathedral Appointments is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in a beautiful Exeter location in close proximity to facilities such as beaches and moors, you will be joining a progressive, forward-looking Accountancy firm who are intent upon delivering excellent client service. You should either be part or fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
The role includes but is not limited to the maintenance of the client’s accounting records and the inputting of data into ledgers. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied role within a supportive team environment.
The firm is open to flexi time/hybrid working.
What will you be doing as an Accounts Assistant?
- Processing purchase ledger invoices using ApprovalMax software, obtaining approvals and preparing payment runs to suppliers.
- Dealing with staff expense claims and payments.
- Administering the PLEO cash card system.
- Updating General Ledger for any outgoing bank payments.
- Reconciling bank accounts and Client Bank Accounts.
- Maintaining and reconciling Fixed Asset records.
- Overseeing travel booking system for staff as well as payments to travel providers.
- Maintenance of accounting records of a charity client.
Skills/Qualifications of an Accounts Assistant:
- You should be a part or fully AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Quickbooks online, purchase orders and credit control.
- An excellent communicator who is able to liaise with individuals across departments and offices.
- Impeccable organisational skills and an ability to prioritise deadlines and meet them with ease.
- A positive, proactive approach to work and a can-do attitude.
