Our client, passionate about providing an exemplary and bespoke security service with a strong connectivity to police forces throughout the UK are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to be part of our busy and expanding finance team, on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified to Level 3 as a minimum.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
- Reconcile Bank Statements·
- Review and adhere to department budgets·
- Prepare accounts payable· Invoice processing·
- Prepare and run payroll for employees
- Assist with credit control / Prepare and submit quarterly VAT Returns
- Provide administrational support to the office, such as answering phones and generally being one of the team
Accounts Assistant Requirements:
- Experience of working within a busy finance department within a similar role·
- A good working knowledge of Xero is a big bonus, if not someone that is able to learn quickly and have knowledge of other accounting packages.
- We are a ‘hit the ground running’ kind of organisation
- Able to use the usual –excel, word and email·
- Can work well under pressure and change focus if asked quickly and re-prioritise· Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills·
