3rd Line IT Engineer required for leading business based in Exeter. Working with an impressive client base and with the opportunity to lead a variety of projects, this is a good opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join the established team. You will be required to support existing engineers in managing clients' long-term IT strategies and be required to provide technical guidance and services in all aspects of commercial business systems integration.
Responsibilities of this 3rd Line IT Engineer role:
- Participating and contributing to the strategic direction of the technical function to meet the demands of the market and our customers ongoing.
- Specifying, designing, and deploying a range of technology solutions including a focus on Veeam
- Using a project management methodology to simultaneously lead and manage a range of assignments.
- Accompanying the sales consultants/account managers to external customer appointments in order to assist with securing new business opportunities.
3rd Line IT Engineer Requirements:
- Experience in the specification, design, and deployment of a range of core products
- Experience in deployment, migration, and configuration of the following: Microsoft cloud platform including 365 and Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, VMware, iSCSI SAN
- Knowledge and experience in deploying backup, recovery, and data management systems, in particular, Veeam
- Strong understanding of network protocols
- Server hardware installation and support experience
